fun times.  i have a dental appointment in one hour.  here i am procrastinating by updating xanga with another pointless post.  anyway, hope i don't burst into tears like i did the other time i went to the dentist.

So my computer doesn't work.

This morning I used my computer and shut it down, no issues.  I come back an hour later, and my monitor is telling me that it's trying to read off various things, cdrom, usb, etc.  What?  I manually reboot.  This time, nothing.  My monitor goes to power save mode like it does when my computer's off.  It doesn't even give me the option to go to setup or bios or anything.  Everything powers up fine, but my monitor thinks that my computer's off.  Does that mean it's a video card issue?  I can't even swap in my old video card because the slots don't match.  Is it a cpu issue?  I have been overheating lately (and postponing getting a heatsink like an idiot).  Is it a HD issue?  If it is, it'll be the second HD I've fried.

UGH.  Someone help.
